Commercial Work: Round 2 with W.L. Gore (ie. Gore-Tex)

As part of their push for experiential education in the outdoor retail market, Gore is doing “Tromp in the Park” and the “ProForum.” The latter was the brain child of experiential educator Marshall Balick and Gore retail sales person Andre Tiffany; it started in the Arc’Teryx show room with Waypoint Outdoor and has grown exponentially since.

Last year I shot some ‘event’ photographs for Gore at one of the Seattle “Evening of Innovation” nights (it was later renamed “ProForum”). To support this year’s events, I was asked to compile a 30 second slide show promoting the ProForum. I quickly found the difficulty of producing multimedia from what was originally a still photography event…you just shoot differently. None the less, they are once again happy with the production, which pleases me. I hope it gets retail employees excited to attend what is now called “The Gore Sessions.”
